We recommend annual check ups with our specially trained practice nurses. This clinic is run to offer advice and to monitor and control your asthma/copd.
This clinic is staffed by our practice nurses, often with a doctor, podiatrist and dietician in attendance. Your first appointment is arranged by the doctor, and you will be recalled by the practice for further appointments
This clinic is run by our specially trained nurse. It is run to review, monitor and support patients with CHD. The clinic includes regular checks of cholestrol, blood pressure and weight along with dietary and exercise advice. A review and assessment of your medication will also take place in clinic.
Our nurses and HCA are able to offer advice on smoking cessation, and where appropriate prescribe medication. Please contact reception to book an appointment.
Alcohol Outreach Clinic
This clinic is run by Picadilly Project workers. They come to both sites and the initial appointment can be booked through your GP. Subsequent appontments are booked directly in the appointment.
Smear tests are carried put by our practice nurses. You will be sent a reminder when your smear is due, normally 3 yearly for women aged 24 -50, and 5 yearly for those over 50, unless advised differently by your GP.
A comprehensive service is available within normal surgery times by appointment.
This confidential clinic is run by Dr's Savin and Mills and offers a full sexual health service for both men and women. Appointments can be booked through reception.
Antenatal clinic is held at our Rockwell Surgery by the community midwife. The doctors see antenatal patients in their normal surgeries should they have any concerns.
Well Baby Clinic
Well Baby clinic is held:
- Tues (14.30 - 16.00) - Rockwell Lane
- Thurs (9.30 - 11.30) - Wrose Health Centre
No appointments are required. Please feel free to bring your baby for a check up and general advice from our Health Visitors. Immunisations are not available during these times. Please book an appointment with the practice nurse for child immunisations. Please do not bring children who are unwell to this clinic.
Dr Gavin leads the dermatology service, seeing patients of the practice with dermatoloigcal problems that would otherwise require onward referral. She is also doing minor surgical procedures as part of this service.
We have recently become accreditied for performing ECG's in the surgery. Dr Parkinson is the lead for interpretation. We hope this service is more accesible and can respond more rapidly than traditional services.
Spirometry and FEV1 are available as part of our asthma/copd monitoring. If you should need either of these you will be contacted and an appointment made for you.
Weekly clinics for patients prescribed warfarin, to check bloods and advise on treatment levels accordingly. Appointments are booked through the specialist nurse.
Weekly clinics where you can see a Physiotherapist without having to see a GP first. From April 2017 if you have a NEW onset of muscular, joint or back problems speak to one of our receptionists and they can book you an appointment with an experienced Physiotherapist for an initial assessment (over 18's only).
