General Data Protection Regulations

On Friday 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation comes into force. This regulation ensures that the practice will have processes in place which ensure that all information held about patients and staff is secure. New Appointment System


Rockwell and Wrose practice will be introducing a new triage appointment system starting on Monday 5th November.


We anticipate that this system will make it easier for you to book an appointment with a GP in advance.


Experience from other practices within Bradford has shown a significant improvement in access and patient satisfaction with this system.


If you call for an “on the day” appointment you will be offered a GP call back within an hour.  The GP may be able to deal with your problem over the phone, if not they will triage you to the most appropriate service, this may be a GP appointment that day, later in the week or an appointment with one of our other practitioners. 


This will involve our reception staff asking you for some information when you initially call.  All staff employed by the practice are bound by the same level of patient confidentiality as doctors and we would appreciate your co-operation as we introduce this service.


Why are we doing this?


Our patient involvement group have told us that they hate the 8.30 appointment phone call rush and we are trying to stop this happening and improve the overall booking service.


To use our services more efficiently. 

 We find that appointments are not booked with the most appropriate practitioner.


To ensure that all urgent cases/emergencies are dealt with promptly.


We hope by improving advanced access we can expand our online booking service in the future to make access over all better.


Any change to services can inevitably have unforeseen hiccups and teething problems, please bear with us during this time and we would very much welcome your feedback on our new system when it begins.
