From Spring 2020 England will have an 'opt-out' system , rather than an 'opt-in' system, meaning that all adults will have agreed to become organ donors after they die unless they have 'opted-out' or are within the excluded groups.
On Friday 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation comes into force. This regulation ensures that the practice will have processes in place which ensure that all information held about patients and staff is secure. For further information please see the practice Privacy Notice accessible on the right hand side of this page.
Patients requiring a repeat prescription may request these at the reception desk, by post, by fax or online.
Please allow 48hours for the prescription to be processed.
In line with National Guidance we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone, as this may lead to errors with complex or similar sounding drugs.

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 15 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
