Med Reviews & Repeats

We are now encouraging repeat dispensing for patients taking three or less regular medications. As long as your treatment is likely to stay the same for a year it allows us to issue you a years worth of prescriptions at once. It has several advantages:
  • You will know when your review is due when your pick up the last prescription.
  • You will not have to request your medications from the surgery 72 hrs before you can take it to the pharmacist. This is quicker and more convenient for you.
  • Your prescriptions will be with the pharmacist and ready to collect when you run out.

 

Medication Reviews

Any of our patients on repeat prescriptions will be asked on an annual basis to have their medications reviewed. This may be possible on the phone or may need to be in person involving blood tests and blood pressure checks prior to seeing the Doctor. You will be reminded of this on your prescriptions and advised what will be needed. Please look out for these and note the reveiw date on your prescriptions.
